US ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI softer than expected
The Institute for Supply Management announced on Thursday that its Non-Manufacturing PMI index slipped to 52.1 in June, the lowest since January 2010 from 53.7 on the last reading compared to expectations for 53.0.
The US ISM Non-Manufacturing Business Index also dropped to 51.7 down from May’s final figure at 55.6 against consensus for 55.0.
A figure above the 50 mark indicates an expansion of the sector. The ISM indicators are showing that new orders and prices are falling whereas the employment figure rose.
