Swiss inflation falls less than expected in July
Official inflation data published by the Federal Statistics Office in Switzerland showed prices eased less than expected in July. CPI m/m fell 0.5% compared to a 0.3% drop the previous month, but less than the forecasted 0.6% fall. CPI y/y eased less than expected to -0.7% in July versus -0.8%, compared to -1.1% the previous month.
Earlier, Switzerland also released its unemployment figures, which showed non-seasonally adjusted jobless rate unchanged at 2.7% as expected, while the adjusted rate was also unchanged at 2.9%, also as expected.
