Sale of new homes jump in September
Sales of new single-family homes rose sharply higher in the United States in September. Data released by the US Commerce Department showed month-to-month sales were sharply higher lifting the total number of sales higher than expected.
New home sales m/m rose 5.7% versus consensus for 1.7% from a 2.3% drop the previous month. The total number of new home sales rose to 313 mln from 295 mln versus a forecast for 300 mln.
