Retail sales drop in November
Retails sales in Britain fell from the previous month in November, data published by the Office for National Statistics showed on Thursday. Sales from the previous year also slowed from the previous month, but were better than expected.
Retail sales m/m fell more than expected to -0.4% versus -0.3%, down from 0.6% the previous month. Retail sales y/y was 0.7% versus consensus for 0.3%, lower than 0.9% in October.
