Durable goods orders rebounded more than expected in May in the United States, up to 1.1% from a flat number previously (revised to -0.2%), against consensus for 0.5%. Data published by the Commerce Department showed demand for manufacturing goods rose sharply in May compared to the previous month, but weak global growth may soon curb the rising momentum.
