Consumer confidence sours in June
US consumer confidence was lower in June compared to the previous month. A report released by the Conference Board showed consumer confidence fell to its lowest level since November 2010.
The consumer confidence index fell to 58.5 versus expectations for a rise to 61.0 from 60.8 in May.
EUR/USD surged to a daily high at 1.4374 from 1.4361 prior to the data release.
