Canadian business activity drops sharply
Canadian business activity slowed down sharply in April, the Ivey Purchasing Managers index showed on Friday. The monthly index of business activity fell to 52.7 from 63.5 in the previous month, versus consensus of 61.0.
USD/CAD spiked to 0.9942 from 0.9913 following the publications of the business activity PMI from Canada.
